Who is the Lesson Lady?

Hi, I’m Janice. I have over 20 years of experience as a Montessori teacher and nanny.

My passion is watching a child grasp a new concept and seeing their eyes light up. That’s why I offer 1- and 2-hour in-home sessions filled with fun, educational activities.

These sessions enrich your child's learning while giving you a much-needed break—whether to run errands, tackle tasks, or just enjoy some "me" time.

What is a session like?

Hands-on, concrete lessons—no worksheets, just real learning!

My sessions are Montessori-inspired and cover a wide range of subjects including letters, phonics, numbers, math, colors, sorting, animals, shapes, imaginative play, sensory play, art, and much more.

All sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, providing convenience and ease for your family. I offer these flexible, short sessions throughout central NJ, giving you the support you need without the commitment of a full-time nanny.

Availability:

Saturdays: 12pm-5pm

Sundays: 10am-4pm

Pricing:

1 hour: $40

2 hours: $60

Each additional child is $10 per hour

  • I primarily work with children ages 1-7, but I also welcome babies, as it's never too early to start introducing learning through play.

  • My lessons are Montessori-inspired and cover a wide range of subjects, including letters, phonics, numbers, math, colors, sorting, animals, shapes, imaginative play, sensory play, art, and more.

  • You can easily book a session through my website. Start by scheduling a free intro call to ensure we’re a good fit, you can do that here.

  • My rates are $40 for a 1-hour session and $60 for a 2-hour session. Each additional child is $10 per hour.

  • During booking, you’ll fill out an intake form where you can provide your address and any specific lesson subjects you'd like me to focus on. Beyond that, you don’t need to prepare anything—I'll bring all the necessary materials.

  • I offer sessions on Saturdays from 12pm-5pm, and Sundays from 10am-4pm.
